DPWC proudly showed off its charming Community House venue as it hosted the Chamber of Commerce Mixer on Thursday July 18.

The Dana Point Women’s Club hosted its annual Graduation Tea Ceremony on Thursday, May 2 at the Dana Point Community House in the Lantern District, its members recognizing and presenting soon-to-be high school graduates with scholarship funds. The club also presented a check to benefit the SparkPoint South OC program.

Dana Point-based meal delivery company Rosey’s Family Feasts looks to give back to its community this holiday season.

Through the month of December, as Rosey’s delivers ready-to-eat hot meals, the company is giving 20% of each order to support the Dana Point Women’s Club.

The Dana Point Women’s Club (DPWC) welcomed Orange County Fifth District Supervisor Katrina Foley as an honorary member during its winter meeting on Thursday, Dec. 7, after the supervisor granted the nonprofit $35,000.

As the Dana Point Women’s Club (DPWC) persists in its efforts to renovate its Community House, the nonprofit announced during its meeting on Nov. 2 that it was the beneficiary of a $35,000 grant from the County of Orange.

Looking to engage her family in a fun way to give to kids in need during the holiday season last year, Debby Thrailkill brought her kids and grandchildren shopping. But rather than purchase items for themselves, they shopped for children in Orange County foster care.

Looking to spruce up the 1950s-era community house on San Juan Avenue, the Dana Point Woman’s Club (DPWC) overhauled the historic meeting space in the Lantern District. 

After the Dana Point Women’s Club’s (DPWC) decades-long partnership with the Community House, the groups have legally unified. Now a single nonprofit corporation renamed Dana Point Women’s Club, Inc., the new streamlined organization can focus on heightening its charitable goals.

The Dana Point Woman’s Club is offering three $1,000 scholarships to graduating Dana Hills High School girls planning to attend a four-year college, community college or vocational school.

The Dana Point Woman’s Club will host a “Classy, Sassy, Razzle, Dazzle” fashion show and luncheon on March 25 to benefit the nonprofit’s philanthropies: Project Scholarship and Project Literacy.

Volunteers from the Dana Point Woman’s Club (DPWC), the Living Help Center and United Way OC gathered at the DPWC Community House on Saturday, Feb. 11 to sort through donated handbags and personal care items that will go to women in need.

Handbags for Hearts, a local philanthropy that donates gently used handbags filled with necessities to women in need, will partner with the Dana Point Woman’s Club to gather donations.

To support Spark Point Dana Point, a financial literacy program held at RH Dana Elementary School through Orange County United Way, the Dana Point Women’s Club (DPWC) is hosting its second “Cocktails for a Cause” on Oct. 5.
