Chamber Mixer was a Success!
DPWC hosted the Chamber of Commerce mixer at updated Community House on July 18th
DPWC was proud to host the monthly Chamber of Commerce mixer at our updated Community House on July 18th. It was a lively, successful meeting that allowed us not only to do our part as a Chamber of Commerce member, but introduce our new Venue Manager, Ryann Doria, and increase public exposure to our beautiful Clubhouse, recently enhanced with air conditioning, a new white ceiling, and beautiful new lighting and fans. Thank you to all the Board and general members who helped with hors d'oeuvres, set up and clean up for this fun event that hosted about 55 Chamber members! Read more HERE.
DPWC will be at the Car Show!
Thousands of locals and visitors attaend the annual Classic Car Show, where DPWC will have a booth again this year
Our intrepid Ways & Means Chair, Marla Freeman, has been hard at work organizing DPWC's booth at our annual car show. We will have new posters and brochures promoting membership in our Club from one side of the booth and Community House rentals from the other. Thank you to the City of Dana Point for funding a brand new booth displaying both our logos! Be sure to extend our warm thanks to City Manager Mike Killebrew when you see him at the event. Thank you to all our members who have volunteered for this fun event which always brings us wonderful new members and additional venue rentals. Stop by and say hi to our volunteers!
Thank you, Jody and Welcome, Denise!
At the end of our 23/24 fiscal year, Jody Hughes had tendered her resignation as Community House Rentals Director but agreed to stay on to help transition a new Rentals Director as well as our new Venue Manager, Ryann Doria.
Please join us in thanking Jody for her incredibly hard work in the past year, coordinating countless operations changes and almost doubling our rentals. And don't worry - we won't let her get away! Jody will still be very involved in DPWC committees. Thank you, Jody!
Please extend a warm welcome to our new Community House Rentals Director, Denise Alvarez! Denise has been a member since 2022 and has been in charge of Community House supplies for over a year, as well as an active hospitality participant.
The Board unanimously appointed Denise to Community House Rentals Director for this fiscal year. She will be overseeing the Venue Manager and handling recurring rentals directly. Welcome, Denise!
